· 2:30-3:30: Journaling on Leadership Goals

· Leadership development is key to empoweringfirst-generation students to take ownership of their academic and personal
success (Northouse, 2022).

· 11:00-12:00: Group Problem Solving(Collaborative Leadership)

· 1:00-2:30: Reflective Leadership Journal(Applying Leadership Skills)

· 2:30-3:30: Faculty-Led Leadership ReflectionSession

· This follows research by Guthrie and Chunoo(2018) on developing inclusive leadership skills for underrepresented students.

· 11:00-12:00: Exploring Leadership Challenges inCommunity-Based Projects

· 2:30-3:30: Mid-Program Check-In (Student andFaculty Reflections)

· Servant leadership encourages first-generationstudents to focus on community-based leadership models (Northouse, 2022).

· 2:30-3:30: Final Capstone Project Brainstorming

· Developing a capstone project emphasizesapplying leadership skills in a tangible community-centered way (Simon etal., 2021).

🔘 FRIDAY
· Service-Learning Day (8:30-3:30): Full day dedicated to advancing service-learning projects.

· Service-learning enhances leadership developmentthrough real-world application in line with John Dewey’s experiential learning
model (Talebi, 2015; Northouse, 2022).
