· Mental health awareness and resilience-building strategies can greatly enhance retention and success for first-generation students (Dennis et al., 2005).

· Conflict resolution and communication skills are critical for academic and social success, as noted by the Upward Bound program model (Grace-Odeleye & Santiago, 2019).
🔘 FRIDAY
· Service-Learning Day (8:30-3:30): Students meet with community partners for mid-project
check-ins and work sessions.
· Service-learning enhances leadership development through real-world application in line with John Dewey’s experiential learning model (Talebi,2015; Northouse, 2022).
